The Location

The Petzl Pitch Black Night Run is a unique trail run that will take you on a journey through the largest and most spectacular forests in The Lake District.  From start to finish the run passes through native woodland, plantation forest and open moorland rising directly above Coniston Water.

All three routes leave from the Grizedale Visitor centre and follow a winding maze of forest trails, footpaths, mountain bike tracks, bridleways and fire roads past the many wonderful sculptures dotted throughout the forest.

Each route will be fully way-marked and reflective signposted and will have marshals positioned around the course with a water station positioned every 5K.
