30 September 2012 will see the 1st Wasdale Half Iron Distance Triathlon take place with a backdrop of the best view in England.

.

Swim 1.2 miles beneath the massive crumbling rock wall of Wasdale Screes in England’s deepest lake, Wast Water.  Try and cycle 56 seriously steep miles over the famous 30% Lakeland passes, Hardknott Pass and Wrynose Pass, both directions.  And finish with a 13.1 mile run over England’s highest mountain, Scafell Pike.
