30 September 2012 will see the 1st Wasdale Half Ironman Distance triathlon take place with a backdrop of the best view in England.

Swim 1.2 miles beneath the massive crumbling rock wall of Wasdale Screes in England’s deepest lake, Wast Water.  Try and cycle 56 seriously steep miles over the famous 30% Lakeland passes, Hardknott Pass and Wrynose Pass, both directions.  And finish with a 13.1 mile run over England’s highest mountain, Scafell Pike.
