Race Timing/ Championchip Timing provided by www.smartiming.co.uk

The chip must be worn around your ankle, if it’s not worn you won’t get a time.

Ware the chip around your left ankle so that the strap cannot catch the chain rings on your bike.

Do not wear the chip on top of your wetsuit or on your wrist.

If in a Relay Team, your timing chip is your baton. Your swimmer must wear it around the ankle first then hand it to your cyclist who must attach it to their ankle before moving onto the bike.  Follow the same procedure cyclist to runner in transition: the bike must be racked before handover.

Chip must be worn around your ankle in order to record a time as you cross the mat.

Please place timing chip in the bin provided as soon as you cross the finish line.

.

Safety First/  We aim to provide a safe and fun environment for everyone to enjoy the challenge of triathlon.  If for any reason you experience difficulties while taking part in our event, slow down and follow the route to the nearest marshal or turn around and head back to the last marshals you passed and they will assist you.

Almost all marshals on route are first aidqualified or higher.

A First Aid tent will be positioned by transition.

A mobile Paramedic will follow behind the last cyclist and sweep the route.

There will also be a broom wagon sweeping the route behind the last cyclist to collect anyone in difficulties or with a mechanical issue.
