Race Briefing/ A Full Briefing will be held on the shore of Wastwater at 06:45am for everyone.

Timing/ Championchip provided by Chip Timing.
The chip must be worn around your left ankle (to stop it getting caught in your bike chain), if it’s not worn around your ankle you won’t get a time.
Top Tip -Don’t wear the chip on top of your wetsuit-
If in a Relay Team, your timing chip is your baton. Your swimmer must wear it around their ankle first, then hand it to your cyclist who must attach it to their left ankle before moving onto the bike. Follow the same procedure cyclist to runner in transition: the bike must be racked before handover.
Chip must be worn around your left ankle in order to record a time as you cross the mat.
Top Tip -Wear the chip on your left ankle to prevent it getting caucht on your bike chain-
You’re timing chip will be collected from you as soon as you cross the finish line.

Safety first/ We aim to provide a safe and fun environment for everyone to enjoy the challenge of triathlon. If for any reason you experience difficulties while taking part in our event, slow down and follow the route to the nearest marshal or turn around and head back to the last marshals you passed and they will assist you. Or, call the emergency contact number provided.
Swim Safety/
The swim hat provided must be worn to enable marshals to see you in the water.
Wetsuits must be worn – A limited number of Zone3 wetsuits are available for hire from Windermere Canoe & Kayak. Call Nic for availability and cost on 015394 44451.
If you experience difficulty while in the water, roll onto your back and raise an arm in the air. A canoe marshal will approach so you can hold onto his boat. He will assess if you need rescued and contact the fast rescue boats to transport you to the shore where our First Aid services will take over.

Cycle Safety/
Do not touch your bike in transition until your helmed is securely fastened.
Helmets must be worn at all times wile on the cycle route.
The roads are open to all traffic and the Highway Code must be followed at all times.
If you experience difficulties while out on the cycle route call the emergency number provided.
Extreme Caution when descending and cornering on the very steep and narrow Lakeland roads.
Stay on the left side of the road or in the left lane at all times. This includes your head.

Run Safety/
The run route will be open to the public during the race, be courteous to the public and other runners alike.
The run will be fully signposted and marshaled for your safety.
