David (Davy) Newell
ACS-Events was created by David Newell.
.
Having grown up in the the Sperrin Mountains in Northern Ireland, Davy has always been drawn to the contrasting environments of desert, jungle, and high mountain landscapes.
.
Since leaving school he has travelled extensively and explored on every continent and spends his free time cycling and mountain biking, climbing, open water swimming, mountaineering, back country camping, canoeing, game fishing, fixing his battered but much loved Land Rover, riding horses as much as he can, and dayreaming about his next big adventures.

A specialist event director based in the English Lake District, Davy spends his working days organising tough and exciting challenges and events for others.
.
Events that include Tri Windermere – The Great Langdale Trail Run – and adventures that include Seven Marathons on Seven Continents in Seven Days for blind marathon runner Dave Heeley, and the Lakes Long Distance Swim Challenge for brothers Mark and Richard Walsh, together swimming all the lakes and waters of the Lake District – over 50 miles in just under 48 hours.

In November 2009 Davy was part of a small expedition who became the first to successfully walk from Luderitz on the Skeleton Coast of Namibia, to Walvis Bay 300 miles further north. A journey that took them 20 days crossing unexplored mountain ranges and a sea of huge shifting sand dunes.
Every event which Davy has organized has achieved success, and he credits this in no small part to his diligence in planning and organising, together with an ability to foresee potential pitfalls and stumbling blocks and providing creative solutions to issues.

Everyone taking part in all of our events will have the opportunity help raise valuable funds for the charity.

We would also like to offer through the MS Society a free place in any of our sports events to anyone diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis as long as it being used to fundraise.
